Whether staying in traditional teahouses in Nepal or India, trekking hut-to-hut in Patagonia or bunking down in a mountain refuge in Europe, retreating indoors at the end of a long day in the mountains is a great way to travel. Often allowing for social evenings over hot food or story-telling in front of the roaring fire.

The level of comfort will vary from luxury lodges and well-equipped mountain refuges to more basic shelters as you get further into the mountains (remember all materials, furniture and food usually have to be carried in!). For more details of what to expect on your adventure see the trip accommodation information, found on the ‘Trip information’ tab.
