Introducing our new Flexible Deposits

We understand life can sometimes get in the way of adventure! We want you to be able to book your holiday with confidence, knowing that if something unexpected comes up you have the flexibility to change your plans without penalty. We have therefore introduced 3 new customer pledges to our booking conditions:

1. Cooling-off period

Don’t want to miss out on an adventure but not sure if you’ll be able to get the time off work or need to check dates with a friend?

We now offer a 48 hour cooling-off period on all bookings made over 90 days ahead of departure. If you can’t get the time off work, or something else has been overlooked during booking, we will refund your deposit or move your dates/adventure free of charge.

2. Flexible deposits

We are pleased to introduce our new flexible deposits scheme. If you make a booking and pay your deposit but something comes up to prevent you travelling, such as a work or family commitment or even if you just change your mind, you can now change your tour date or destination without penalty, as long as you give us at least 90 days notice before the date of your original tour departure.

You can even transfer your deposit to another suitable person if for some reason you can no longer travel. The new trip must be within 12 months of the original booking. Note that for some trips non-refundable elements, such as flights and trekking permits, are booked in advance of this, which you will be informed about at time of booking. 3. Scrapping our amendment and transfer fees

No one likes fees when having to make unplanned changes. As part of our ‘no-hidden costs commitment’ we have scrapped our amendment and transfer administration fees. You may change to a new departure date or destination or transfer your booking to another person up to 90 days prior to your original trips departure date without fee, we will only pass on direct costs incurred by us e.g. if changing a flight-inclusive booking where the flight ticket has already been issued the airline will likely not refund this and a new ticket will need to be purchased.

Please see our updated booking conditions for full terms of booking.

James is a qualified Mountain Leader, Leave No Trace trainer and expedition leader and holds membership to the British Mountaineering Council, the Mountain Training Association and aspirant membership to the British Association of International Mountain Leaders.
