Customers are responsible for arranging, and must be in possession of, a valid, acceptable passport and any visas and vaccination certificates required for the whole of their journey and tour. You will not be entitled to a refund if you are denied boarding or entry on any basis, including without limitation, improper documentation (i.e., visas) or failure to provide information.
It is a requirement of many countries that your passport is valid for six months beyond the date of your return to your home country and it is your responsibility to check you have such validity. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
If you are applying for your first passport please note it can take up to six weeks to apply.
Changes to your passport information
On some of our tours (e..g Inca Trail) we are required to submit your passport information in order to obtain required trekking or entry permits or, in some destinations, to book accommodation. If you subsequently change your passport after booking, but prior to travel, it may invalidate these bookings or permits. If you intend to change your passport before travel please do not submit your old passport details on your booking form and inform us when you will receive the new details. If your passport is lost or stolen, and you need to apply for a new one prior to travel, having already submitted your details, you must inform us at the earliest opportunity and we will endeavour to make the necessary changes before any non-refundable commitments are made. Any costs associated with reissuing of permits or bookings due to supplying passport information different to that you will travel with must be borne by the customer.
We list current visa requirements for British citizens on the trip information page for each tour, however for the latest advice please visit the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for detailed entry requirements. We also recommend consulting the FCO travel checklist
ahead of travelling to ensure you have made all necessary arrangements.
Please be aware that some countries charge a fee for visas, whether on-arrival at the airport or in advance through the embassy in the UK. We list any known current fees in the ‘extra costs’ tabs of our booking page, so you can be fully aware of the total cost of your trip.
Customers of different nationalities need to check with their own embassy.
For some destinations, an invitation letter may be required to support your visa application. We will inform you of this upon booking and supply all necessary documentation.
Note: Visa regulations and fees are subject to change and completely out of our control.
